Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, primarily in critical care settings, including ventilator management, airway procedures, medication administration, and patient assessments. They deliver patient education, collaborate with healthcare teams, and mentor new staff and students. The role emphasizes ensuring safe, high-quality care through adherence to policies, evidence-based practices, and performance improvement initiatives. The therapist contributes to a positive team environment and promotes patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Verifying orders
• Performing invasive and non‑invasive procedures
• Interpreting arterial blood gases
• Supporting patient and family needs

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 science hours
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
• Licenses and certifications: NBRC‑RRT, Respiratory Care Professional, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or provisional), all required upon hire
• 0‑2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care
