About the role

Respiratory Therapists are vital members of a multidisciplinary care team at a community hospital, providing expert respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including infants and adults. They work in high-acuity areas such as the ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments
• Perform both general and critical care respiratory procedures
• Manage neonatal respiratory care
• Analyze and interpret blood gases
• Maintain equipment
• Educate patients and families in adult and neonatal settings

Qualifications

• An Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences is required
• Previous neonatal respiratory care experience or successful completion of department-specific training is essential
• Certifications include RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS, all necessary upon hire
