About the role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide respiratory care services to patients under the direction of a physician. This includes administering treatments, monitoring patient responses, and documenting all procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administering respiratory treatments such as nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Maintaining accurate records of patient treatments and progress
• Assessing patient conditions and communicating findings to healthcare providers
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Current RRT certification from the National Board for Certification in Respiratory Therapy (NBCRT)
• Experience in acute care settings preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in computer systems and medical terminology

Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory anatomy and physiology
• Skilled in performing invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
• Strong organizational and time management skills
