About the role
Primarily in critical care settings, you will administer respiratory therapies, manage ventilators, perform patient assessments, and provide education to patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care through assessments, therapy administration, ventilator management, and airway procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Promote a safe environment by ensuring accurate documentation, medication safety, and adherence to performance improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and educate patients, staff, and students, with an understanding of population-specific needs.
- Participate in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics.
- Support a positive, team-oriented work environment and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with science coursework; associate’s degree required, bachelor’s preferred.
- 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or provisional/instructor status).
