Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time

About the role

Provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within hospital guidelines. Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise, serving as a resource to the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety through developmentally appropriate care while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively through documentation and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provides education on respiratory treatments to patients, families, students, and staff, utilizing diverse learning methods.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures following established protocols, applying clinical knowledge for assessment and troubleshooting.
• Supports advanced skills such as ECMO, mechanical ventilation, bronchoscopies, sleep studies, and BLS as needed.
• Maintains accountability for ongoing learning and multitasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program completion.
• Licenses and certifications including Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT, and Basic Cardiovascular Life Support.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• No prior experience required; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Students nearing graduation from an accredited program are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Full-time day shifts with rotating weekends, including three 12-hour shifts per week.
