Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time

Role: Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities: Perform and guide all respiratory therapies, including chest physical therapy, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, and patient education across all ages. Administer treatments such as medical gases, medications, aerosol therapy, and pressure breathing. Conduct advanced procedures like arterial blood sampling, pulmonary function testing, and blood gas analysis. Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient care, document records, and maintain equipment. Provide guidance to therapy technicians and perform departmental duties in supervisor’s absence while adhering to hospital policies. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy programRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligibleIllinois Respiratory Care Practitioner license within 6 monthsCurrent CPR certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS within 24 monthsKnowledge of respiratory equipment, procedures, and patient assessmentStrong communication, teamwork, and educational skills
