Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Willis Knighton Health is the largest healthcare system in North Louisiana and offers a variety of experiences for respiratory therapists. The department provides general floor care and specializes in treating patients in the Emergency Department, CCU, ICU, PACU, PICU, and NICU (Level III).

Responsibilities

• Treatment of patients in various departments including CCU, ICU, and NICU.
• Participation in ECMO Team for RRTs with at least 6 months of CCU experience.
• Training and involvement in specialized areas such as Bronchoscopy Lab, Pulmonary Function Lab, Hyperbaric and Wound Care Clinic, and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
• Membership in the ground and air transport call team for NICU-trained RRTs.

Requirements

A current NBRC credential and licensure from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners is required for employment.
