Registered Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on a diagnosis in the ICU, ER, and general floors.
• Use decisive judgement to implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the team and perform advanced Respiratory Care procedures.
• Evaluate patient therapy; medications and treatments will be administered based on the patient outcome.
• Educate patients and families about the health condition.
• Respond to rapid responses and code blue.
• Work in a stressful environment and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
