About the role
Join our Respiratory Therapy Team! Patient Care Locations include MetroHealth Main Campus Medical Center – Glick Center, MetroHealth Physical Rehab Institute, Parma Medical Center, Cleveland Heights Medical Center. Primary Skills Utilized/learned include invasive and non-invasive ventilation management, evidence-based patient driven protocol pathways, critical thinking, and time management. Personnel RRT will work with various healthcare professionals such as RNs, LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians.
Responsibilities
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Manage ventilators and airways in critical care settings.
- Implement and monitor evidence-based protocols.
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring as needed.
- Provide support during pediatric resuscitations.
- Travel to other MetroHealth facilities as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
- Maintain an active RRT credential by the NBRC.
- Hold an RCP license from the Ohio Medical Board.
- Have current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification.
- Reliable transportation to travel between facilities.
Qualifications
- Possess at least 3 years of experience as a RRT in critical care environments.
- Show extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Hold a PALS certification from the AHA.
- Have ACLS and/or NRP certifications from the AHA.
