Registered Radiology Technologist, Days

Responsibilities

• Utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality.
• Prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns.
• Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development.
• Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques.
• Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

• RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R OR ROT (Temp State Radiography License) and Must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration
• Desired: One year in general radiography
