Registered Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and move them into the correct positions.
• Operate x-ray equipment to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images using PACS systems.
• Educate patients about their exams and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and address equipment malfunctions.
• Auxiliary in scheduling procedures, monitoring patients, and processing billing.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Hold a current state license as a Radiology Technologist.
• Be credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Physical requirements include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting patients of varying weight, and manipulating equipment daily.
• Must follow standard precautions and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $34.00 to $34.00 per hour, with a maximum of $34.00 per hour.

Schedule

Varying shifts, including every other Saturday and Sunday, with two holidays per year. Includes call rotation.
