Registered Radiology Tech, Day Shift, Outpatient Imaging
About the role
Adventist HealthCare's Outpatient Imaging seeks to hire an experienced Registered Radiology Tech for their Rockville, MD office. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, which is only available to current Adventist HealthCare employees who are not transferring between entities or departments.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic imaging studies per protocol.
- Identifies patients, reviews orders, and selects diagnostic x-ray protocols to ensure quality and safe patient care.
- Accurately documents in HIS, RIS, PACS systems.
- Maintains a clean and safe environment.
- Applies ALARA principles and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Provides care appropriate to pediatric, geriatric, and adolescent patients.
- Answers patient questions and concerns about exams.
- Maintains schedule flexibility to accommodate variable patient volumes.
- Orients new employees and trains radiography students.
- Participates in project initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school or GED required.
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT accredited school of Radiography or associate degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
- 1 year’s radiography experience preferred.
- ARRT R.T.(R) certification.
- State of Maryland Radiation Technologist license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong customer service and critical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic PC skills including RIS/PACS experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Stocking and managing supplies/linen for assigned area.

Pay
$32.17 - $48.25 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
