Memorial Hospital at Belleville is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) to join our dedicated and supportive team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping patients get the rest they deserve by contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Schedule

Full-Time, 4 nights per week (rotating), 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Requirements

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) Certification Required
  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Applies electrodes and sensors to patient
  • Prepares, calibrates, and maintains equipment
  • Performs positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings
  • Performs sleep studies, initiates and maintains various modes of therapy
  • Recognizes and manages various respiratory conditions
  • Scores sleep and wake stages, scores clinical events
  • Generates reports and transfers data to the appropriate media

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The Sleep Disorders Center conducts sleep tests and provides treatments for a variety of sleep disorders. Our testing is supervised by a registered polysomnographic tech and interpreted by a physician with special training in sleep medicine. Sleep studies are done exclusively on an outpatient basis.
