About the role
A caregiver in this position works varying nights from 6:30PM – 7:00AM.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.
- Prepare patients and equipment for ordered testing.
- Interview patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
- Perform and document testing.
- Monitor patients throughout testing and intervene as necessary.
- Instruct non-registered and trainee caregivers.
- Score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.
- Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing.
- Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.
- Perform QA.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) under the BRPT guidelines
- Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
Qualifications
- Requires full range of body motion including standing and walking for extended periods of time; must lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist with positioning and transporting patients.
- Requires the ability to maneuver equipment and motor coordination to operate equipment.
- Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.

Pay
- Minimum hourly: $22.85
- Maximum hourly: $34.85
