About the Role

The DME Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing durable medical equipment to proficiently support physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
  • Follow policies and procedures related to infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
  • Manage medical chart reporting and records.
  • Supervise business practices using management and organizational theory, including training, delegating, and mentoring staff.
  • Use appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.
  • Apply universal precautions, safe workplace practices, and confidentiality methods.
  • Manage health information by appropriately charting patient data.
  • Work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
  • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Interact appropriately with patients, families, staff, and others.
  • Adapt flexibly to changing demands.
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.
  • Communicate clearly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (minimum education).
  • No previous work experience required.
  • No licenses or certifications required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
  • Familiarity with infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality policies.
  • Experience with medical chart reporting and records.
  • Understanding of management and organizational theory for supervising business practices.
  • Proficiency in employee development, including training, delegating, and mentoring staff.

  • Experience in health information management and patient data charting.
