Registered Nurse - Weekends
Full-time, onsite position located at 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058. Hourly weekend pay rate: $45.00.

- Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
About the role
As an RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you’ll support teens (ages 12–17) in a residential setting, providing care that goes beyond traditional nursing. This role allows for more connection, consistency, and meaningful interaction. You’ll work in an active, hands-on environment, moving between houses, assessing needs in real time, administering medications, and playing a key role in day-to-day care decisions. Your work will help ensure each teen feels safe, supported, and heard.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes
- Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress
- Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions
- Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift
- Provide additional coverage, as needed, to support floor staff and maintain safe, consistent operations
- Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training
- Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- CPR Certification
- Prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of onboarding
Skills
- Experience in medication administration and patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and documentation standards
- Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations

- Bedside hospital experience
- Experience in diabetic care
