Full-time, onsite position located at 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058. Hourly weekend pay rate: $45.00.

Schedule

  • Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

About the role

As an RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you’ll support teens (ages 12–17) in a residential setting, providing care that goes beyond traditional nursing. This role allows for more connection, consistency, and meaningful interaction. You’ll work in an active, hands-on environment, moving between houses, assessing needs in real time, administering medications, and playing a key role in day-to-day care decisions. Your work will help ensure each teen feels safe, supported, and heard.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes
  • Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress
  • Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift
  • Provide additional coverage, as needed, to support floor staff and maintain safe, consistent operations
  • Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training
  • Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of onboarding

Skills

  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and documentation standards
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations

Preferred Experience

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
