Registered Nurse-Urology-Ambulatory Triage

Part-time and full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026). This position is also referral eligible. We are seeking an individual with a minimum of one year of RN experience for this role.

About the role

Join the Urology Ambulatory Clinic as a Triage RN, where you’ll play a critical role in delivering timely, patient-centered care through clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient education. Our outpatient clinic serves a diverse urology patient population and is staffed by a collaborative team of 4 surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) dedicated to delivering high-quality specialty care.

In this fast-paced environment, primary responsibilities include telephone triage, patient rooming, and supporting provider and nurse-led visits, including APP nurse visits. You’ll leverage your clinical expertise to assess patient needs, provide education, coordinate care, and ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage to assess patient needs and determine appropriate care.
• Coordinate patient rooming and support provider and nurse-led visits, including APP nurse visits.
• Provide patient education and care coordination throughout the treatment journey.
• Ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care based on clinical assessment.
• Coordinate multiple functions for a group of patients in an effective and timely manner.
• Assess patients without face-to-face interaction.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA; other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Two years of experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• Knowledge of procedures for performing functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated equipment and supplies.
• Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
