Registered Nurse Traveler - Hospital Float
Overview
Sentara Rockingham Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Hospital Float position with Med/Surg and Stepdown experience. This is a nights, 14-week traveler position.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care — teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and admitting patients
- Performing rounding checks
- Administering medications
- Communicating with family members
- Being responsible for the overall care of patients
Requirements
- Education: RN Degree — ADN, BSN or MSN
- Certification/Licensure: Valid RN License to practice in Virginia; Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in a hospital on med/surg, tele and IMCU
Pay
$65–$70/hr
Schedule
Third shift (nights); 14-week traveler position.
