About the Role
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during patients' hospital stay, assessing, managing, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams using a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans based on data and standards, and implements nursing interventions.
- Collaborates with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Administers medications and documents care accurately.
- Educates patients and families on health management and care plans.
- Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition promptly.
- Manages specialized care such as restraints, pain management, and infection control practices.
- Maintains effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Provides high-quality service and participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Performs patient assessments and formulates/updates care plans.
- Administers treatments and ensures accurate documentation.
- Involves families in care decisions and provides age-appropriate, cost-effective care.
- Contributes to unit and hospital performance improvement efforts.
- Ensures a safe, clean environment and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates service excellence and teamwork in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the relevant state.
- Required certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to teamwork.
- Prioritizes safety, quality, and patient dignity.
- Completes mandatory training and adheres to hospital policies.
- Effective communication and respectful interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
