Registered Nurse, Telemetry/PCU
Responsibilities
- Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital by performing the following duties;
- Effectively plan and communicate patient and family education.
- Participates in unit based educational activities.
- Accurate and timely documentation consistent with practice and hospital policy.
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and comprehension.
- Cross train in PCU per department needs.
Requirements
- Current CA RN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Six (6) months of recent full-time acute care experience in an acute care hospital or equivalent
- Successful completion of Stroke/Sepsis Education competency within 6 months of hire
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- One (1) or more years previous Medical Surgical or Telemetry experience
- Certification for Progressive Care Nurse (PCCN)
Skills
Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Overview Nationally Recognized. Community Focused.
