Registered Nurse - Surgical Rehabilitation

This role involves providing direct nursing care in an 18-bed orthopedic, bariatric, and neurosurgical unit. The nurse will implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient conditions, serve as a primary coordinator among disciplines, and carry out physician and nursing orders. Additionally, the nurse assesses discharge planning needs and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care following organizational policies and protocols.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient status effectively.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts for comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with discharge planning to facilitate patient recovery.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or eligibility in Alabama.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from AHA or ARC.
