The Registered Nurse, Surgical Oncology, provides safe, compassionate care by developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, collect health data, and communicate plans to patients and families, respecting their wishes.
• Cook with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, documenting all patient interactions.
• Individualize patient and family education tailored to cultural background, learning style, and needs, including disease management and community resources.
• Support professional development of colleagues, share knowledge, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Nurture a compassionate environment, providing psychological support and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR certification required.
