About the Role
Provides professional nursing care in the operating room for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs scrub and circulating functions, including handling instruments, monitoring patient conditions, and assisting physicians with surgical tasks.
- Prepares operating rooms, instruments, and equipment, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and patient-specific needs.
- Maintains professional nursing standards, utilizing the ANA Code of Ethics and demonstrating alertness and safety awareness.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and valid RN license for respective states.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform tasks involving vision, hearing, and dexterity.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the relevant state or hold a compact license.
Schedule
