Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin
Minimum of one (1) year nursing service administration experience
CPR certificate
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
Leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with personnel
Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm

Move intermittently throughout the workday
Cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
Work independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, personnel, and support agencies
Be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
Be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, young, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people
May be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the day
Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including exposure to the (HIV) Aids and Hepatitis B viruses

Handle walk in visitors requesting a facility tour
Make facility rounds on each floor and lower level
Check outside grounds for cleanliness
Notify appropriate Department Heads regarding immediate concerns, communicate all other concerns to the Administrator
Report any incident regarding resident quality of care and equipment/building emergencies to the Administrator
May initiate discipline, to be reviewed by appropriate Department Head/Administrator, after investigating situation
