About the role

The Department 36710 Atrium Health Behavioral Health: Davidson - Nursing Behavioral Health I/P: River Birch is a full-time position with benefits eligibility. The schedule is 4 days a week, 36 hours (9-hour days) M-F, with rotating holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care and outcomes, allocate human and fiscal resources, communicate effectively, manage patient throughput, develop and oversee programs, select, develop, and retain staff, supervise clinical practice, conduct performance appraisals, engage in performance improvement activities, handle service recovery, and comply with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • BSN required.

Qualifications

  • Enroll in a BSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer.
  • Complete the BSN program within 3 years of enrollment.
  • Current BLS certification required per policy guidelines.
  • Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of becoming eligible for the certification exam.

Skills

Behavioral Health experience is desired.

Pay

Pay Range: $44.15 - $66.25 based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule
