Registered Nurse Supervisor, Outpatient, Full-Time

About the role

The RN Supervisor oversees nursing operations at four outpatient imaging centers in Charlottesville, VA. The role involves leading a team, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing services within the outpatient imaging center.
• Ensure safe, evidence-based patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities.
• Manage budget, supply inventory, and resource allocation.
• Promote a patient-centered culture focused on safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Partner with radiologists, referring providers, technologists, and administrative teams to optimize care delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years as an RN in a clinical setting.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Licenses and certifications: State licensure and BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. ACLS certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide accurate and concise documentation.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.

Skills

• Ability to manage medical emergencies and contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
