Registered Nurse Supervisor – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Summary
Holy Cross Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNS) to provide clinical and operational leadership for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
About the Role
The Registered Nurse Supervisor works collaboratively with the Department Director to coordinate patient care, oversee staff, and ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective critical care services. This role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership judgment, and a commitment to Trinity Health’s mission of compassionate, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Manages daily operations and patient flow
- Provides direct supervision and support to professional and non-professional staff
- Sets and coordinates staff based on patient acuity and unit needs
- Promotes compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
- Supports quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives
- Participates in staff orientation, education, coaching, and performance management
- Acts as a clinical role model, mentor, and resource for ICU staff
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state eligibility
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Minimum five (5) years of recent Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse experience
- Previous Charge Nurse experience required
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing preferred
- Critical Care certification (CCRN) preferred

Pay
Pay rate: $39.47 – $61.20 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
