Registered Nurse - SUD - Evening 3pm to 11pm

About the role

We are seeking two Registered Nurses for our recovery and wellness center. This role involves performing skilled nursing duties and medication administration oversight at a residential addiction treatment facility. You will interact with clients, significant others, and other treatment team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess medical status of new and existing clients, refer for outside medical care when appropriate
• Perform on-going assessments
• Implement physician orders in a timely manner and maintain high standards of client care
• Initiate and implement client care plans, interact with medical health care providers, oversee medical appointments, referral and follow-up appointments
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse effects
• Dispose of all discontinued medication in compliance with regulations
• Participate in the orientation of clients to the program and facility
• Maintain the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting of client's files
• Supervise LPN staff
• Provide crisis intervention as needed
• Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement planning

Requirements

• NYS Registered Nurse License
• 1-2 years of experience working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis populations
• Excellent computer skills, willingness and ability to learn new software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Team-player, able to multi-task and handle challenging situations

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 3pm to 11pm
• Flexible scheduling available

Pay

$50.00-$53.00 per hour
