Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the Subacute setting.
• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care in the Subacute Unit.
• Communicate with physicians, the Subacute Unit Director, Charge RN, and/or co-workers about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac and respiratory monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Collaborate with other departments and co-workers to ensure quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance, and organization.
• Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital or unit policies and procedures.
• Participate actively in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
• Act as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Requirements

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum six (6) months experience in Acute or Subacute care setting.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire preferred.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $42.00 to $52.51 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
