Registered Nurse - Stepdown (Nights)

Role Overview

Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a patient population with higher acuity cardiac and respiratory conditions in an 18-bed stepdown unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Evaluate and support direct care staff, coordinate care activities, and uphold patient rights.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN in Nursing
• Current RN license in the state or a compact licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card (some certifications to be obtained within specified periods)
