About the role

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner. This role requires the demonstration of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide direct patient care in a variety of clinical settings
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Implement evidence-based practice standards to promote quality, safety, and service
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
  • Perform technical skills required for patient care
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
  • Adapt to changing patient conditions and environments
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

  • FL RN License
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • RNs hired with an Associate degree must complete the BSN degree within 3 years from date of hire
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications
  • 7 months of Step Down, PCU Progressive Care, IMCU Intermediate Care Unit RN Experience
