Responsibilities
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patients, utilizing appropriate data to guide care.
- Demonstrates clinical judgment in addressing patient needs and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Develops and documents individualized care plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and protocols.
- Maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and complies with safety and documentation standards.
- Evaluates patient responses to care and revises plans as necessary.
- Ensures patients and families receive appropriate education and training, using the teach-back method for evaluation.
- Confidently leads the care delivery team, demonstrating leadership skills and accountability.
- Participates in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
Requirements
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Schedule
Monday-Saturday, 3 12-hour shifts, 5:30am-6pm (2 of 4 Saturdays required for every 4-week schedule).
