Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding and rooming patients, vital signs, reconciling meds and allergies
- Responding to medical emergencies during study
- Triage sleep study requests, allocate resources, and plan of care for a successful, safe sleep study
- Clinical assessment, safety huddles, and clinical decision making of patients admitted into the sleep lab for study
- Collaborate and provide care strategies for sleep technologists
- Patient and family education regarding disease management
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify plans of care in collaboration with APN and MD providers
- Provide ongoing care coordination
- Contribute to research and evidence-based practice development
Education
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Experience: Ideal 5 years RN experience with inpatient pediatrics. ED and ICU preferred but not required.
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts 7pm-730am, with every third weekend.
Licenses/Certifications
- MA RN license
- PALS certification required or must be received within 1 month of date entering the job
