Registered Nurse SICU Full Time Days

About the Role

Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing a plan of care, implementing the plan of care, and evaluating the plan of care. This position requires a high quality of care to meet the Hospital's core mission.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission, and vision of the organization.
• Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (e.g., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services, requirements, and competency evaluations on time.
• Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
• For non-clinical areas, attends training and demonstrates usage of age-specific customer service skills.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.

Requirements

• 2-year / Associate Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited school (Required).
• 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a state-accredited School of Professional Nursing (Preferred).
• 1–2 years of nursing experience (Preferred).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Georgia license.
• Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) or Georgia Stroke Core Curriculum (GSCC) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained prior to completing unit orientation.
