Registered Nurse - Seasonal - Float Pool

Role Overview: This position is for Seasonal Inpatient Registered Nurses (RNs) providing patient care across various acute care settings, including Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Units, Progressive Care Units, and Flexible Care Areas. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional nursing care, patient and family education, and supporting care transitions within a Magnet-recognized organization that values nursing excellence, autonomy, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities Coordinate comprehensive nursing care and support clinical practice aligned with professional standards.Participate in department orientation, including Mayo Clinic's Foundations of Critical Care Nursing (FCCN) program, to prepare for higher-acuity patient care.Practice within the Nursing Professional Practice Model, demonstrating leadership, effective communication, mentoring, and quality improvement.Delegate patient care appropriately, adapt to unpredictable situations, and utilize clinical decision-making skills. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited baccalaureate nursing program or equivalent experience.Minimum of 12 months RN experience in an acute care setting, with Telemetry or ICU experience preferred.Current RN license and BLS certification; ACLS required upon hire.Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and computer skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Information Part-time schedule with 12-hour day shifts, minimum two shifts per week. Position runs from November to April, offering weekend and holiday optional work.
