About the role
Join a dynamic public health team as a School Health Nurse, providing essential nursing services in Nashville and Davidson County schools. In this role, you will evaluate students' health needs, conduct screenings and assessments, and coordinate care plans.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and maintain accurate health records.
- Implement health programs and provide generalized health services to support student well-being.
- Perform related duties to promote health and safety in the school environment.
Qualifications
- Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license or eligible via compact licensing.
- Diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- CPR certification and completion of a department-approved Public Health Certificate.
- Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
Preferred experience: at least 6 months as a registered nurse, with a focus on pediatric or school health.
