Role: RN SANE Adult Location: Elmhurst, IL Type: Per Diem Summary: Provides high-quality, cost-effective care to sexual assault patients, including conducting medical-forensic exams, evidence collection, and crisis intervention. Ensures patient privacy, documents assessments, and collaborates with law enforcement and advocacy groups. Offers patient education on procedures, STD and pregnancy prevention, and follow-up care. Participates in training and provides legal testimony when needed. Qualifications & Skills Completion of IAFN-accredited SANE A course with Illinois clinical componentCurrent Illinois RN licensurePreferred: Baccalaureate or higher in Nursing, experience in emergency medicine or women's health, minimum one year as a SANE RN Key Responsibilities Perform physical and forensic exams on sexual assault patientsCollect and preserve evidence, maintaining chain of custodyCoordinate care, ensuring confidentiality and privacyEducate patients and participate in community and professional trainingProvide legal testimony related to SANE casesEngage in ongoing professional development
