About the Role
We are seeking a qualified individual for a position in the Surgery Recovery Unit for day shifts. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Function as a perioperative team member, utilizing information from various sources to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under the direct supervision of a surgeon.
- Operate within the full scope of licensure.
- Accountability for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Provide direct patient care, patient/family education, and manage transitions of care.
- Deliver holistic and individualized care to patients in the assigned area.
- Develop, implement, and manage an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Foster collaborative relationships with patients, their families/support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations to ensure a quality patient experience.
- Engage in continuous professional growth and development in nursing practice.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.
- California Registered Nurse (CA RN) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
