About the role
The Registered Nurse Wound Ostomy (WOCN) position at Community North Hospital is part-time and may include some travel to other Community Health Network facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Program.
- Provides leadership, consultation, and planning of care for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Must be a graduate of a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) educational program or achieve the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse certification within 12 months of being employed in the role.
- Demonstrated expertise in the practice of nursing validated by Three (3) years of current clinical practice.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited School of Nursing.
