Full Time, 32 Hours
Based on the Mid Coast Hospital campus, this position offers a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with providers and an interdisciplinary team to assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic wounds.
- Provide patient education, coordinate care, perform comprehensive assessments, and help develop individualized treatment plans that promote healing and improve quality of life.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and see the direct results of your care over time.
Requirements
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
- Current Wound and Ostomy Nurse Certification (CWON) required or must achieve within one year of start date.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
Bonus Information
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign-on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
Summary
The Registered Nurse - Wound Care role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care in the treatment of patients with complex wounds, ostomies, or continence conditions.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program required. Bachelor’s Degree required (BA or BSN).
- Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current Wound and Ostomy Nurse Certification (CWON) required or must achieve within one year of start date. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.
