Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care

About the role

The Registered Nurse in one of our Ambulatory Wound Centers provides clinical care, care management, and patient/family education to support the healing of acute and chronic wounds, in collaboration with the provider treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care, care management, and patient/family education to support the healing of acute and chronic wounds.
• Collaborates with the provider treatment team to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Assesses patients’ wounds and develops appropriate treatment plans.
• Administers wound care procedures and monitors patient progress.
• Documents patient care activities accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and address patient needs.

Requirements

• ADN, Diploma in Nursing required, BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience including wound assessment and dressings
• 2 years of progressive wound skill experience in acute care, home care or ambulatory site preferred
• Prior wound care training preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in CT required
• Wound Care certification preferred

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license in CT
