About the role
The Wilmington Emergency Department at ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. Four times recognized as a Magnet Status Hospital, we are proud to serve and provide high-quality health care in Wilmington, Delaware.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the emergency department setting.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans according to established protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as directed by physicians.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or commitment to obtain within three years of date of hire.
- At least one year of experience in a med/surgical unit or ED required.
- BLS certification required.
- ALCS certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in computer systems and electronic health records.

Pay
Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
Schedule
This position is 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., with a weekend and holiday requirement per company practice.
