Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor

About the role

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 123-bed skilled nursing facility in Walpole, MA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Weekend RN Supervisor to provide leadership and hands-on nursing care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, Medication Technicians, and Restorative Aides on assigned units
• Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV administration, colostomy care, tube feedings, and suctioning
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders, administer medications, and monitor residents for changes or adverse reactions
• Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff follow policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic resident care
• Participate in QAPI activities, surveys, and end-of-life care as needed
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and infection control standards

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Massachusetts RN license
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Current CPR certification
• Prior long-term care experience preferred but not required
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to supervise staff with tact and professionalism
