Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Option - Emergency Department

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Nurse Emergency Department at Cobb Hospital serves as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team providing individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. The position is Full-Time/Night shift (7 pm - 7 am) + another shift/ Weekend Option.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions

• A. Performs the Nursing Process, provides relationship-based patient centered care, practices in a manner that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity, and practices using current clinical practice standards.
• B. Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, demonstrates teamwork and collaboration, and participates in performance improvement activities.
• C. Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, required mandatory education, population specific education, serves as a preceptor and/or mentor, and promotes evidence based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
• D. Proactively plans for the care of patients across the care continuum, supports efficient and effective use of human and material resources, and complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education, License(s) And Certification(s), Experience, and Skills

• Education: Associates in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing, Bachelors Nursing preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS, RN, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, ACNPC, TNCC-P, ACLS-P, ARC-ALS, ARC-PALS, ARC-BLS, BLS-I, PALS-I, PALS-P.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years RN experience.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills, excellent time management skills, ability to read, write, and speak English, and basic computer skills.
