Registered Nurse-RN Unit Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on assigned shift by monitoring the distribution of medications, blood draws, and other elements of patient care.
• Conduct nursing rounds on each unit multiple times throughout the shift.
• Provide education, as needed, to staff, residents, and resident family members.
• Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure a smooth recovery process for residents.
• Ensure staff are performing all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, or Administrator.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in inpatient and palliative care is preferred.
• Prior experience managing staff is preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurses may be considered.

Schedule

Full time, MOD (morning, overnight, or day shift).
