About the role
The Registered Nurse Unit Manager oversees the care management of a population of patients within an assigned area, unit or clinical function. They conduct the nursing process, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. They coordinate resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to center's clinical systems and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Conducts the nursing process, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.
- Captures and communicates patient data to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to center's clinical systems and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
Requirements
- Must possess, a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
- Must have, as a minimum, one year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
