About the role
The Unit Manager (RN) oversees the care management of a patient population within an assigned area, unit, or clinical function. They conduct the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, all within the scope of their Registered Nurse licensure.
Responsibilities
- Conducts the nursing process to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Coordinates resource utilization and timely care interventions.
- Interacts with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient and family satisfaction.
- Ensures adherence to clinical systems and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- A valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
- At least one year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or similar health care setting.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
