About the role

Perianesthesia at ABMC operates in two dedicated locations within the hospital: East (first floor) and Main (second floor). Each unit functions independently and delivers comprehensive, high-quality care across all three phases: Preoperative, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Discharge. Our multidisciplinary team includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), all working collaboratively with ABMC physicians and Anesthesia providers to ensure safe, seamless, and patient-centered care throughout the surgical and procedural journey.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Apply evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification upon completion of orientation.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
