About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Performing circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures
  • Maintaining sterile technique and monitoring the surgical environment for safety and compliance
  • Anticipating the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow
  • Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers and team members
  • Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Participating in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety and team performance

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS required
  • At least one year of Perioperative RN experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills

Pay

This position offers a wage scale of $42.14 - $78.11 per hour.

Schedule

8 Hour Shifts

Monday through Friday from 0700-1530

On-Call rotation including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, may be required based on departmental needs

1 Weekend/Month Required
