About the role
Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients and community members in its 300-bed facility.
Responsibilities
- Supports patients and their families through various care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care and communicates patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Aids patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and spiritual and psychosocial support.
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in the state of Kentucky.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
